biography
the mind of the syndicate is one who guards their secrets carefully. bishop, their savant black hatter, has spent years enhancing his body to fight against death that had tried to claim him all those years ago. he will not speak on what has transpired, but judging from his avid fear of blood and violence, one can easily surmise the man did not have an easy past.he does not remember the incident, nor does he recall much of the past before that... until rune confessed. according to the viera, bishop had infiltrated the syndicate's security system with ease - confidential information and money they had sought to protect - were all within bishop's grasp. they acted fast, tracking the technophile down and the punishment was meted out personally by rune himself; beating bishop to an inch of his life before allowing him to live at the cost of working for him in perpetuity. his memory was wiped, and he was allowed to make enhancements to his body bit by bit.at present, he possesses a weak frame and has no capability to defend himself in a fight, and relies on calling for help with his console should anything go awry. however, he has developed a stronger battery pack, and has been learning to enhance his aether abilities with nouliths. he can conjure a shield for his own protection, but it isn't very strong nor does it cover his entire form yet. he is also learning to channel levin with his aether, and has been studying how to control it.

scanners: as long as someone's face is unobscured, he will usually scan them for general records. names, aliases, criminal records, residences - all at the touch of his hands. he tends to use this knowledge to his advantage, be it to gain someone's trust, or just to gauge a new face. (I usually will ask ooc for what information would be divulged to him.)his scanners also include tracking someone's heart rate, respiratory rate, micro expressions and it's how he tells if someone is lying to him. it's usually only used when rune is interrogating someone, but bishop can choose to not use it if he trusts the person.hacking: he has the capacity to hack into tomestones, usually if the other person has games on their phone, or need help with something magitek-related.red alert: his vitals are kept track of in his room, and in the instance he is critically injured or severely fatigued, there will be staff or robots that will come to tend to him. in very dire situations, rune or edan may come to keep him safe.

does your muse travel a lot, and pick up shiny things along the way? allagan tech, meracydian extras and garlean magitek always intrigue him, and the more tech he can get his hands on, the better. he wants to improve his body slowly, and would find it loathe to have something found go to waste. he does not care for how it is obtained, and he can afford it.

there's something not quite right with Bishop's body. despite running diagnostics, he's not too sure of what's going on. for those with aethersight, levin seems to course through his body like a great wyrm - not affecting his circuits - instead moving with it in tandem. he's discovered he can discharge static, but if you notice, perhaps he will take you in as a guide?

for all the intellect he has, bishop would barely be able to describe the man bishop has dedicated his life to with mere words. he reveres the man greatly to the brink of blind adoration, and truly thinks no one is worthy of controlling the world besides this viera, even if rune is the man is the reason why bishop's body is so reliant on technology to survive. the viera had once tried to propose, but bishop knows that nobody can truly claim rune's heart, and is conflicted.

the doctor who worked at an underground fight club seemed to be a worthy friend, confidante and a fellow tech enthusiast. after creating a few things for the man, bishop and ezra have become quite close! bishop has come to find conversations easy with the viera, though ezra seems to hide more than what he lets on. bishop might be learning more things about himself with this doctor, too.
